Special Movie Review: Pear Harbor
Batman Mythos part 1:Hush volume 1
Batman Hush is one of by favorite Batman storylines. It is composed in two Graphic Novels. It is written by Jeph Loeb who is the mastermind behind Batman classics like Long Halloween and Dark Victory. Hush is an easy to follow thriller and i have enjoyed reading it three times. The main characters in volume one are:Batman (of course) Catwomen, Alfred, Thomas Eliott, Superman, Huntress, and Poison Ivy. It also has a growing romance between Bats, and Cat-woman.
Hush is a story about some one who is trying very hard to kill Batman (who isn't right) Right within the first chapter the first attempt is made. Somebody cuts his batline and Bats takes a tumble and crashes down into crime alley, and if Huntress had not show up he would be dead. His skull is fractured and his injuries are far beyond Alfreds skills to fix so they call in a specialist. Dr Thomas Eliott, a childhood friend of Bruce's. After Bruce is all mended up, he takes a trip to metropolis where he is chasing after Poison Ivy. When he faces her he finds out terrible news, Ivy has control of superman. He has catwomen go and kidnap somebody at the Daily Planet. While catwoman is doing this Batman is fighting Superman, luckily for Bats he is using a Kryptonite ring against Superman. Now can you guess who catwoman chose? If you guessed Lois Lane you are correct. Lois Lane takes a fall off of a building and Superman snaps out of Ivy's controll and is able to save Lois. (Ever the boy scout right) In the last panel it shows a man with a completly bandaged face holding binoculars as Superman flys off.

The Skywalker Legacy Finale: Cade Skywalker
―Kol Skywalker
"Listen to the Force, Cade. A Jedi's first concern is to preserve life."
―Kol Skywalker
He spent at least some of his childhood at the New Jedi Temple on Coruscant, where he explored the secrets of its foundations and the outer city with the young Shado Vao. Cade believed that his father was unaware of this, despite the fact that he and Shado fell asleep at the midday meal.
On Ossus, Cade became close to another Padawan, Azlyn Rae. One time, Cade kissed her on the cheek.
"I will not let you go, Master!"
―Cade reviving Wolf Sazen
Cade shortly after his father's death.
As a fourteen year-old Padawan in 130 ABY, Cade was involved in the battle to defend the Jedi Praxeum on Ossus from the Sith. His master, Wolf Sazen, ordered Cade and Shado Vao to evacuate the planet in a Jedi Shuttle full of younglings. However, Cade desperately wanted to stay and fight with his father, Kol. He argued the point, but eventually obeyed his father and went to the shuttle.
Just after boarding the shuttle, Cade sensed that his master had been struck down, and that his father was now fighting the Sith alone. Much to Shado's dismay, Cade left the shuttle to fight by his father's side.
As soon as Cade joined Kol however, he was ordered to take Wolf back to the shuttle. Cade was devastated, but did as he was told. Aboard the shuttle which was now leaving Ossus, Wolf died in the arms of Cade. Cade could not accept that however, and focused his anger to the point where he used a power to successfully revive his master.
Cade Skywalker in 137 ABY.
"Cade used to be the best hunter around, but he's lost his edge.""Not Cade's fault, Syn. Something in him is just… broken."
―Jariah Syn and Deliah Blue
"Why do you use those deathsticks?""They keep you away."
―Luke Skywalker's Force ghost and Cade
Cade is visited by the Force ghost of his ancestor, Luke Skywalker.
Around 137 ABY the crew of Mynock was contracted by Rav to locate bond-skipper Naxy Screeger on the planet Lok. After locating him, the group also came across a Jedi Healer named Hosk Trey'lis. Cade prevented Syn from killing the Jedi, seemingly because Jedi were worth more alive than dead. The group left Lok with both Screeger and Trey'lis in tow. After turning in their bounties on Socorro, Rav paid them in death sticks, which, though pleasing Cade, enraged the rest of the crew.
"It's a hard galaxy."
Around this time Cade was being haunted by the Force Ghost of his ancestor Luke Skywalker, who was pleading for Cade to return to his Jedi legacy. However, Cade was growing increasingly agitated with these visitations, using death sticks to block them out, and even going so far as threatening to end his own life.
As the Mynock's crew prepared for liftoff from Socorro, they were approached by Princess Marasiah Fel and her companion Astraal Vao. The Princess was demanding passage to Vendaxa, and the two were being pursued by the Sith Darth Talon. She tried using a mind trick on him but Cade, being a Jedi, was resistant to it until he saw the Sith. He initiated emergency take-off procedures, and headed towards Vendaxa, intent on delivering the Princess to her father, so that he could get paid, and then sell the both of them to the Empire, earning enough credits to be out of Rav's debt.
Cade uses the Force to hurl Darth Talon away.
"Ah, shut up and kill something!"
―Cade Skywalker to Jariah Syn while being attacked by Darth Talon
Not wanting to be recognized by his former Master, Cade stayed in the shadows and did not argue with the Princess. However, Jariah called him on his wanting to cut his losses, using his name as he did so which attracted the attention of the two Jedi. Turning to face the Jedi, Cade calmly stared down his former Master and admitted his name was Cade. If Wolf recognized his former pupil after their years apart, he gave no sign; instead choosing to turn to direct Princess Fel to where he and Shado had secreted their own ship. A sudden explosion signaled that ship's destruction, however and was quickly followed by an attack by Darth Talon, who used the dark side to provoke a number of native fauna into attacking alongside her. Talon singled out Wolf Sazen and brought him down with Force lightning, intending to kill him, but Marasiah intervened, hoping for revenge for the death of her Master, Elke Vetter. Sia was no match for the Sith, however and Talon swatted her away with the Force. Wrapped in Force lightning, Wolf was still able to ask Cade to take the Princess to safety, but the captain of Mynock only stood by numbly, his mind flashing back through the years to a similar situation on Ossus.
Snapping back to the present with an expletive, Cade unloaded both barrels of his Rawk chopped special at the Sith, and after a moment both Blue and Syn joined him, with Syn declaring they'd all gone insane. Blue then told him that it was a "good" insane. Darth Talon however, easily deflected their blasts and disarmed them with a wave of her hand then advanced upon them, her lightsaber at the ready.
After the battle, Cade had a conversation with his former master, telling him that he wasted years looking for a man that didn't exist. That was followed by an argument with his friends, with Syn pulling a blaster on him. Marasiah Fel approached him, saying she knew he was a Skywalker. She then went on saying how she could disappear from her destiny. But she also told him that she would not run away from her responsibilities.
Imperial Knights arrived, but they were shot down by the Sith. They survived the crash, and the battle with the Sith had begun. Cade rushed to battle with his blaster telling Syn and Blue to lift off. When Cade entered the battlefield, he was flooded with the memories of the Massacre at Ossus. He was so dazed that he did not see a Sith approaching from behind. It was Princess Marasiah that saw the Sith and charged at him, cutting down the Sith and saving Cade's life, but not without injury. When Cade, holding her injured form in his arms, asked her why she did it, she said:
"Told you… had to make it right… even if it's only… one… life…"
―Marasiah Fel
"No one dies for me! Never again!"
―Cade Skywalker
While aboard the Mynock, Cade heard that Marasiah was dying. When Cade said he could help her, Antares Draco attacked him, blaming him for the condition Marasiah was in. Draco eventually stood down and let Cade help Marasiah. Cade healed her with the lightning technique he used to heal Wolf Sazen years earlier.
"Kark this 'destiny' sludge. I make my own way!"
―Cade to Darth Vader's Force ghost
Cade Skywalker hallucinates a vision of Mara Jade Skywalker.
After the group arrived on Bastion, Cade slipped away and left Deliah Blue and Jariah Syn on their own, stating to Wolf Sazen that he could not trust Syn anymore. Cade then offered a ride to Sazen and Shado Vao, but told them to not get any ideas regarding him rejoining the Jedi Order. He later found out that Fel placed five homing beacons on the Mynock, who was wary of Krayt finding him. He expected Skywalker to find one or two, but Cade disabled all of them.
Later, Cade, Wolf, and Shado traveled to the Wheel. Unknowingly, Cade was being pursued by numerous agents of Krayt's faction of the Galactic Empire, including his mother, Morrigan Corde, a deep cover Imperial agent who had been reactivated by Nyna Calixte. The two Imperial agents suspected he was either going to Hapes, which was neutral during the Sith-Imperial War, or Ossus. But Morrigan decided to quit hunting her son, so when they landed on Ossus, she killed the Imperial agent accompanying her, Jor Tolin.
Cade proceeded to Ossus, where, after ingesting several death sticks, he had visions of Mara Jade and Anakin Skywalker, who then morphed into Darth Vader and warned him of the perils of falling to the dark side. He was then found by the Whiphid Jedi Master K'Kruhk, a one-time teacher of Cade, who healed his mental trauma. Sazen and Vao then arrived as well.
Cade then asked Sazen to complete his training. Sazen accepted, and Cade began his training again under the tutelage of both Sazen and K'Kruhk. During a lightsaber practice session with Vao, they both fell into a repository of priceless Jedi artifacts, whereupon they were attacked by two Yuuzhan Vong, Liaan Lah and Choka Skell.
Luke's Force ghost tells Cade to save Hosk Trey'lis.
Master Shaper Nei Rin ordered her two Vong bodyguards to cease their attack on the two Jedi. Rin, once a friend of Kol and the leader of the terraforming project on Ossus, revealed herself as the keeper of the Jedi artifacts left on Ossus after the massacre, and claimed that Cade should become their keeper.
Cade refused, and after being confronted by Master Sazen about his fears, was once more visited by his ancestor, Luke Skywalker, who told him to fix his mistake of turning in fellow Jedi Hosk Trey'lis by rescuing him on Coruscant. As Cade prepared to leave for Coruscant, Rin gave him his father's lightsaber, and K'Kruhk gave him R2-D2 to serve aboard his ship.
"How do you like me now schutta?!"
―Cade to Darth Talon
At the cantina, Cade encountered Chak and Kee, two old friends. But he had no clue where Syn and Blue had taken Chak's ship, the Grinning Liar. His impertinence offended the Wookiee, but amused Queen Jool, the Hutt owner of the establishment. He left the access codes to his ship with her in case he did not return, instructing her to turn them over to his former crew mates if they showed up.
Cade entered the Temple of the Sith using secret routes he discovered when he lived there, and reaching with his Force senses, found Hosk manacled to a wall inside the structure. When he released the healer, the Bothan attempted to warn him that he had given in and betrayed his would-be rescuer, but Cade would have none of it, retorting "no one dies for me."
As they made their way out, they were ambushed by Darth Talon, who waited for them by a long causeway. She subdued Hosk with a Force push, but enraged Cade by telling him he and his quarry were both wanted alive. Cade's eyes shifted, signifying his enthrallment by the dark side, and he overpowered the Twi'lek. His victory faded fast, as Darth Nihl, suddenly appeared and choked him into submission. Nihl went on to inform Krayt of his victory. Meanwhile on Ossus, Wolf, meditating on the Force, received a vision: Cade turned toward him, his face half in shadow with the dark side gleaming in his eyes.
"What do you know about the Jedi—besides wanting them all exterminated?"
―Cade to Darth Krayt
Krayt had imprisoned Syn and Blue, and while they were in the Sith's hands, Maladi implanted Yuuzhan Vong Yorik-Kul coral seeds into them that mutated their bodies using the dark side. Cade had no option but to help both of his friends by using his anger to cure them at a great cost.
Cade as a Sith apprentice
Krayt, however, prevented this and asked of Cade that he allow the Dark Lord to focus his anger into strength through the Sith teachings. Cade agreed, and was then ordered to heal Darth Talon, as she would become his Sith Master. During his Sith training, Cade developed an intimate relationship as well as a deep bond with his master that was created when he healed her. They presumably slept together, however after Talon left the bed, she told Krayt that he was just pretending to be like them. Still, Krayt was sure that he would fall to their side permanently.
Cade bested Nihl by severing his arm and throwing him against the wall, finally defeating the Nagai Sith Lord. Krayt ordered Cade to kill his hand in an effort to tip Cade over to the dark side permanently. Cade, however, refused, stating because that was what Krayt wanted him to do, and started fighting Krayt. During their duel, Cade said he saw through the Force just how sick Krayt really was and questioned whether the rest of the Sith would be willing to follow him if they knew his true condition. He taunted Krayt, saying that even if he died, he would die as himself, but if Krayt killed him, then he'd condemn himself to death as a mindless Yuuzhan Vong growth.
Just as their duel was reaching its climax, Morrigan Corde blasted open the window behind them, shooting Krayt in the back. Cade then jumped out and was rescued by Jariah Syn aboard the Mynock, who pulled him inside. The Mynock then escaped the planet and jumped to hyperspace, but not before Corde revealed herself to Cade over a comlink. Corde revealed herself to be his mother, but when Cade demanded some answers, she replied that he wouldn't be getting any. Unbeknownst to him, Krayt was planning on breaking him, using his power to heal himself and then kill him.
While the others enjoyed a pool party, Cade had a talk with Uncle Bantha, who he knew as Nat Skywalker. Cade revealed he ran into his mother. Nat then told him about the history between his parents, and that his mother had abandoned them. When Cade saw the massacre of the Mon Calamari, he also saw an arrest warrant for him saying he is a terrorist who had attacked the Sith Temple as well as a Skywalker. Cade comfirmed his last name to his cousins. Bantha yelled at him for not thinking and they punched each other.
During the night Cade "acted like he had seen a ghost." He sneaked off to the Mynock, and the spirits of Luke and Kol Skywalker tried to counsel him. Luke told him to use meditation to clear his head but Cade thought of using his Sith abilities. His father warned him of the dark side and that the technique he showed him in the Temple of the Sith was for defense. The ghosts warned him of events that he must be ready for. When their spirits departed, Cade used his death stick to get relief for one night. Shortly thereafter he walked out, stoned, and was attacked by a masked figure who followed him from Socorro. He was saved by the timely intervention of his uncle. But the figure was Azlyn Rae, an old friend of his from before Cade left the Jedi Order. A scouting party of Imperials showed up looking for Cade, having heard from Black Sun. Cade was determined to leave, but Bantha told him to hide. Rae sent the Imperials off with a mind trick. Afterwards, Bantha told him to change his name, looks, ship and friends and to not ever to use the Force again. But Cade determined that there was only one way to end the threat of the Sith: kill Darth Krayt. Again, Bantha berated him for trying to do something stupid. But Cade had a point -- the New Sith Order was having internal conflicts and with Krayt dead, they'd collapse on each other and everyone would leave him alone. But he needed allies; he didn't trust either Roan Fel or Gar Stazi and he believed that there were no Jedi to find until Bantha revealed the existence of the Hidden Temple.
"Nice temple you got here, Master Saa. Hope you're planning to take out the trash soon, though. The stink of crimson armor always makes me gag."
―Cade referring to the Imperial Knights
Cade meets the new Jedi Council
Guided by Bantha, Cade along with the Mynock's crew and Azlyn Rae went to the newly revealed Hidden Jedi Temple (Which was founded by Bantha during his Jedi career as a refuge for the Order during a worst case scenario) on the planet of Taivas.
When the Mynock landed, Cade and his crew discovered that not only were Wolf Sazen and Shado Vao in the temple, but also that they were followed by Imperial Knights Marasiah Fel, Antares Draco, and Ganner Krieg, who were guided there by Azlyn. After a brief confrontation between the Jedi and the Imperial Knights, both parties put away their weapons and began to talk at Wolf's request. Cade immediately realized it was Azlyn who "betrayed" them and after he demanded to know why, he was told by Princess Fel that Azlyn was in fact an Imperial Knight. When the Imperial Knights explained that they were on a mission of peace, Wolf informed them that the Jedi Council would receive them. This new Jedi Council was formed by Jedi Masters K'Kruhk, Tili Qua and T'ra Saa, two of whom had fought in the Clone Wars.
Cade revealed to the council that Darth Krayt was none other than fellow Clone Wars veteran and former Jedi Knight A'Sharad Hett and how ill he is. He also proposed to the council his plan to assassinate Krayt, arguing that the former Jedi Knight had no heir as Dark Lord of the Sith, and that it was his will alone that kept his followers from turning on each other. However, the council refused saying that assassination was not the Jedi way and as Jedi, they respected all life - even the Sith to which Cade retorted that Krayt had already killed countless innocents trying achieve his "vision". He further argued that maybe it was the will of the Force that Krayt be destroyed and maybe assassination should become the Jedi way before Krayt tracks him down and forces him to use his healing powers.
The Council ultimately decided not to go through with the assassination plan, for if Krayt wound up dead, someone else might take his place or possible splintered Sith with become more dangerous. They've preferred to let the Sith undermine each other. Despite this, Cade decided to do it with the help of his crew. Draco, Krieg, and Rae joined him under orders from Fel, and Shado also decided to come with them, hoping that Cade would not become Krayt.
Cade infected by the Rakghoul plague.
Cade and his allies headed for the Deep Core. While journeying there, Azlyn tried to talk to him, but he wouldn't listen to her. While meditating, Cade received a vision of a Jedi. After this, the Mynock was pulled out of hyperspace and into a Pellaeon-class Star Destroyer: the Iron Sun. Once inside, Cade and his allies split up to explore the ship.
Cade and his party eventually came across a group of Rakghouls. During a brief skirmish with them, Cade was bitten and Azlyn was scratched. The skirmish ended when a Jedi named Celeste Morne (who was the Jedi Cade had envisioned) regained control of the rakghouls. Celeste saw that Cade and Azlyn had been infected by the Rakghoul Plague and imprisoned them. Celeste explained her past: her meeting with Jedi Padawan Zayne Carrick, the Muur Talisman attaching itself to her, and her confrontations with Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker.
When the plague began to transform himself and Azlyn, Cade asked if the plague was a disease or the work of the Force. Celeste said it was an affliction, and Cade realized he could cure it. He used his healing power to rid himself and Azlyn of the plague, impressing both Celeste and the spirit of Karness Muur.
Celeste agreed to join Cade and his allies in their quest to assassinate Krayt.
The party journeyed to Had Abbadon, where they attacked the local Imperial base. After taking the base, Celeste allowed one Sith to escape to tell Krayt about the attack. The party then settled in to wait for Krayt.
During this time, Azlyn tried to kill Celeste and destroy the Muur Talisman since she believed Morne was evil. Cade prevented her from doing so. However, during an argument, Cade and Azlyn both realized that their old feelings for each other had resurfaced. They spent the night together, until the voice of Karness Muur interrupted them.
Cade went to confront Morne. He told her that if Muur continued to mess with him and his friends, he would shove her and the talisman into a rocket and send it into a black hole.
Later, Celeste sent Krayt a message while using Muur's voice (whether she was under Muur's influence or faking it is unknown). Celeste showed Krayt that Cade was her prisoner and that Muur had the power to help him. Krayt took the bait, and traveled to Had Abbadon with Darths Maladi, Talon, Stryfe and Wyyrlok. Once there, Cade and his allies sprang the trap. Celeste set her rakghouls on Krayt while Cade dueled with Talon. Talon told him that the bond he created was driving him closer to the dark side. Unfortunately, Muur declared his usefulness over and had the rakghouls turn on his companions.
The Skywalker Legacy part 5: Kol Skywalker
Skywalker: "Morrigan, I'm a Jedi—I can feel your emotions. You're torn between going and staying. Why not stay with me—and our son?"
Corde: "If I looked at him, I couldn't leave. Goodbye Kol."
―Kol Skywalker and Morrigan Corde
A descendant of the legendary Jedi Grand Master Luke Skywalker, Kol Skywalker was raised as a Jedi and trained to wield the Force. Along with his brother Nat, he served as Jedi Knight. When the Jedi Council of Seers saw Skywalker's importance to a mission with Imperial Intelligence agent Morrigan Corde, he was assigned to it. Serving with her, he fell in love. They had a relationship for as long as two years, marrying secretly, before Skywalker impregnated Corde, who gave birth to a son named Cade. Corde, unprepared to be a mother and summoned back into service, departed despite Skywalker's pleas to stay with him and their son. Skywalker was left to raise Cade alone. Corde went on to become the Director of Imperial Intelligence and a member of the Moff Council under the name Nyna Calixte, apparently without Skywalker's knowledge of her double identity.
"He…was more than a good man. He was a hero. Like your ancestor Luke Skywalker, Kol championed the integration of my people into the galaxy—even after what the Yuuzhan Vong had done. We worked closely together on the Ossus Project. I admired Kol…the eyes of Yun Ne'Shel shone brightly upon him."
―Nei Rin to Cade Skywalker
Kol Skywalker with his son Cade.
Despite his dislike of politics, Skywalker became a leading member of the Jedi Council. In that position, he conceived of and championed the Ossus Project, in which Yuuzhan Vong shapers used their biological techniques to terraform a barren patch of Ossus. Skywalker wished to help integrate the Yuuzhan Vong, long stigmatized due to the war they had brought to the galaxy, into society and rehabilitate their reputation by proving that they could use their knowledge to heal the worlds they had devastated in the past. He worked closely with Master Shaper Nei Rin to bring it to fruition, developing a friendship with her. With that project successful, the Galactic Alliance was persuaded to allow the shapers to restore life to worlds devastated by the Yuuzhan Vong War. The project went awry, with individuals becoming malformed and plant life dying.
Skywalker and the Jedi worked with Rin to discover the cause and suspected sabotage, correctly, but blame fell on the Yuuzhan Vong and in 127 ABY the Galactic Empire invoked the Treaty of Anaxes and declared war. Skywalker and the Jedi were able to convince the Galactic Alliance to back them and protect the Yuuzhan Vong in the war. The Sith order, until then hidden—and secretly responsible for the sabotage of the Ossus Project—emerged on the Empire's side and helped turn the tide of the war against the Jedi and Galactic Alliance. After three years of battle, Skywalker was called to speak his mind to the Galactic Allianc Triumvirate about the possibility of a strike at Caamas to capture Galactic Emperor Roan Fel. He spoke against it, having sensed it was a trap, but Rear Admiral Piers Petan and Triumvir Nu Toreena, a detractor of the Jedi who also blamed them for the war, pushed the plan forward anyway, resulting in the defeat of the Alliance Defense Fleet. With that, the Galactic Alliance surrendered. Roan Fel called upon the Jedi to surrender as well, but Skywalker withdrew the Jedi to Ossus with Fel's guarantee of safe passage.
"They're coming, Kol.""I sense them too, Wolf. We hold them here. There's no escape from the landing pad except with the shuttle—and no way to the shuttle but through us."
―Wolf Sazen and Kol Skywalker
Kol Skywalker's last stand.
As Cade departed for the shuttle, Nihl approached at the head of a column of Sith warriors. Skywalker and Sazen engaged them, but Sazen quickly received grievous injuries. Skywalker drove Nihl back and stood over his former student's body, summoning Sazen's lightsaber and warning the Sith back. He stood alone against an army of Sith but successfully held them back despite being surrounded; however, upon seeing Sazen fall, Cade once more left the shuttle and went to his father's aid. Skywalker admonished his son for placing his emotions above his duties, and commanded him to take Sazen, not yet dead, from the field and evacuate. Tearfully, Cade complied. Skywalker continued battling, holding back the Sith and standing upon a heap of the dead. Nihl, however, was able to strike Skywalker with Force lightning, killing him as Cade watched from inside the shuttle. Skywalker sent a final message through the Force to Vao, ordering him to launch the shuttle.
"I hear his voice, over and over, in my head, nagging at me! But I never feel his presence! Not in my dreams…not in my visions! It's as if his spirit avoids me. Maybe…maybe if during that final battle…if I hadn't distracted him…if I'd been stronger, faster, better…""He wouldn't have died? I felt much the same at first. If I had just moved more quickly—if I had just been a split-second further ahead! Finally I made peace with myself and accepted that it was the will of the Force. We must take what is given."
―Cade Skywalker and Wolf Sazen, speaking of Kol Skywalker
Kol Skywalker's Force Ghost speaks to his son in the heart of the Sith Temple.
Cade became a bounty hunter and turned to death sticks, rejecting the Force. Luke Skywalker's Force ghost appeared to him at times, urging him to take up his family legacy, but Cade wished only to be left alone, free from the burden of saving the galaxy. Cade continued to hear his father's words in his mind as well, but was never able to sense his presence, driving even farther into bitterness and depression. Skywalker was unable to counsel his son as his anger blocked him from communicating. Cade eventually returned to Ossus in 137 ABY and began training under Sazen, Vao, and K'Kruhk before departing for Coruscant to rescue Hosk Trey'lis, a Jedi he had turned over to the Sith as a bounty hunter. Rin gave him Kol's lightsaber, which she had recovered and repaired with a lambent crystal after the original crystal had suffered battle damage. Cade took to it Coruscant, where he was captured by Darth Krayt and the lightsaber was taken from him and encased by Krayt to honor a foe even he respected. Cade, meanwhile, joined the Sith while Calixte, again using her Corde identity, devised a plan to free him. When Cade confronted Krayt, Kol appeared to him as a Force ghost to suggest he use his healing powers in reverse to break the transparisteel and free his lightsaber. Cade did so, taking up his father's lightsaber and attacking the Sith before escaping.
Kol and Luke Skywalkers' Force ghosts later appeared to Cade, warning him of a coming threat.
The Skywalker Legacy part 4: Nat Skywalker
―Nat Skywalker to his nephew, Cade Skywalker
"He understood the Force in ways I never could, natural-born leader—what folks look for in a Skywalker."
―Nat Skywalker about his kid brother Kol
Nat meets his nephew Cade for the first time.
Little is known at this point about Nat's early life, what is known is that he was born into the famous Skywalker family and inherited the immense Force potential of that bloodline. He grew into a powerful Jedi Master in his own right, however he felt he could never live up to the Skywalker name, especially in comparison to his younger brother Kol Skywalker, who was a natural leader and a member of the Jedi Council.
Nat knew of his brother's secret marriage to the Imperial spy Morrigan Corde, although he never really understood why until Kol brought his son Cade to Ossus. When Kol spent a lot of time on Coruscant on Jedi business, Nat helped raise Cade back on Ossus.
"I left the Order—for reasons that are none of your dang business."
―Nat Skywalker to Cade Skywalker
After the Massacre of Ossus Nat supplied weaponry to Cade who had become a bounty hunter as well as helping build Cade's ship, the Mynock. The two kept each other's background a secret. He also took a shot at Jariah Syn after he tried to seduce Ahnah.
―Nat to Cade
At some point by 137 ABY, Nat's family was living on their "Nest" the fabled planet Iego. He had good business with a Shipmaster Ure'monbarak on Mon Calamari, which supported his family. They were fighting off Black Sun pirates when the crew of the Mynock arrived to help and Nat learned Cade had met his mother.
After watching images of the Sith Massacre of Mon Calamari, Cade planned to take down Krayt but Nat told him that it was stupid. They punched each other, giving each other a bloody nose, deciding to sort out things in the morning. But after Cade had talked with the spirits of Luke and Kol and had a death stick ingestion, Nat defeated an intruder who turned out to be Azlyn Rae, a former Jedi apprentice turned bounty hunter. She proved useful when a Sith Imperial scouting party arrived based on reports of the Mynock from the Black Sun thugs whom they had driven off. After the confrontation, Cade decided he was going to kill Darth Krayt, and needed allies. Cade didn't trust Emperor Roan Fel or Admiral Gar Stazi, but he couldn't find the scattered Jedi. It was then that Nat revealed the location of the Hidden Jedi Temple to Cade.
Nat left Iego to travel with Cade to the Hidden Temple, where he was granted an audience with the Jedi Council, alongside Cade and a group of Imperial Knights.
After Cade had told the Council of his idea to assassinate Krayt, Nat talked about it with the Council. He expressed his feelings that Cade may have the right idea, due to Krayt committing genocide of the Mon Calamari. Despite this, the Council ultimately chose to not go through with the assassination plan. Nat then went to Kiffu to reunite with his family.
"Gotta enjoy what we got while we got it—be around those who we care about and who care about us."
―Nat to Cade Skywalker
"I'm a bit rusty on the mind tricks stuff."
―Nat Skywalker
Nat Skywalker overpowers Azlyn Rae.
Like all members of the Skywalker bloodline, Nat was extremely powerful in the Force. Even after years of not using the Force, Nat easily overpowered Azlyn Rae, despite being unarmed while she had a lightsaber to his throat. He was skilled with telekinesis, though that wasn't the case with mind tricks, as his wife forbade him practicing it with their children.
Nat was also an extremely gifted mechanic, (another common Skywalker ability) as seen by his construction of his adopted son Micah's legs after they rescued him from slavers. He also helped build the Mynock, and constructed the "Rawk Chopped Special"—Cade's custom made weapon of choice.

The Skywalker Lagacy part 3: Ben Skywalker
As Mara Jade was infected by Yuzaan Vong coom spores, she and Luke decided against having children. However, despite their efforts, Mara found, while attempting to heal her body with the force, that she was pregnant. Mara and her nephew, Anakin Solo, were on Duro in 26 ABY when she sensed the unborn child, even though she had feared that the spores would render her barren. Although a temporary cure was found in the tears of a Fosh named Vergere and sent the disease into remission, it started to return and threatened Mara's health once the tears ran out. This was due to her efforts to keep the spores from attacking the child, which drove her to a near-death state while giving birth. Fortunately, the disease was permanently cast out of her body with the help of Luke, baby Ben, and perhaps the spirit of Obi-Wan Kenobi. During this ordeal, Luke had his first vision of Ben as a young boy by a river holding a stone. After his birth, Luke and Mara made it their primary goal to protect their son from any danger during those dark times. With his birth, Luke confronted his fears and pushed himself to the front line of battle.
Ben was with his parents, during the Yuuzhan Vong War, Ben was born aboard the Star Destroyer Errant Venture, shortly after the Skywalkers were forced to flee Coruscant during heightened troubles between the Jedi and the New Republic Senate. The Skywalkers then moved into Eclipse Station, a secret base for the Jedi in the Deep Core. As a baby, Ben was brought to Shelter in the Maw black hole cluster by his uncle and aunt, Han Solo and Leia Organa Solo, with all of the other Jedi children along the Great River. He was then in the custody of Leia and Han and raised on Coruscant for a short time. Leia and Han enjoyed their nephew's company, but in some ways Leia was reminded of her late son, Anakin.
Ben had little contact with his parents, though became embroiled in a kidnap attempt by the treacherous Senator Viqi Shesh during the Fall of Coruscant. Viqi Shesh was caught on camera in the Solo's apartment kidnapping baby Ben while her guards killed Leia's bodyguard. Fortunately, Lando Calrissian and C-3PO were able to save Ben high above the Galactic capital. After this incident, Mara and Luke wanted to spend time with him, but all attempts were halted by the war and Luke and Mara's dedication to the order. During this time, Mara feared that this separation caused anxiety in young Ben. Mara, being overprotective of her son, hired a defender and nanny droid, Nanna, to keep him safe—though Ben would often trick the nanny droid into shutting down. He would later find this annoying and admitted that he wanted to be more like his uncle, Han—working on his own and doing things the hard way. During the waning days of the war Mara and Luke decided that Ben was safer with them and brought him to Ossus to be raised with them. Even when he got to spend time with his parents, he never really understood them—especially his mother.
While attempting to find answers about the Yuuzhan Vong, Luke, Mara, and Ben's cousin Jacen traveled to Zonama Sekot, where Luke had his second vision of an older Ben flying a starfighter of an unknown design. It was here that his father learned more facts about his grandfather from the Magister Jabitha. According to Jabitha, Anakin and his master Obi-Wan Kenobi came there to find Jedi Knight Vergere—the same Vergere whose tears had cured Mara's illness—and were interested in the planet's living ships. Jabitha went on to explain that that the planet was attacked by Wilhuff Tarkin, and how Anakin saved her from a Blood Carver by using the Force to kill him. However, when Luke tried to tell her what became of Anakin in the following years, she tensed up and told them not to ruin her memory of him.
Though Ben survived the Yuuzhan Vong war, the pain and suffering he had sensed through the Force during that dark time caused the infant to cut himself off from the Force. During this time, Ben developed the ability to hide himself in the Force, which made it difficult for his parents to locate him. It was then that his parents realized that their son had pulled away from the Force because of all the bloodshed, pain, and suffering during the war. He didn't want to use the Force or follow its callings, because he feared it would bring more trouble in his life. It was also during this time that his empathy with Humans began, particularly around his parents and aunt. Luke and Mara were careful with their emotions around Ben, in fear that their son would pull farther away from his powers and Jedi heritage. Despite this, Ben continually refused to use the Force, a disturbing development his parents did not know how to overcome. However the experience left Ben wary of his parents which caused him to resent his parents, especially his father, and chafed against authority.
Dark Nest Crisis (35 ABY–36 ABY)
Ben went with his parents to the Unknown Regions during the war. Han Solo discussed to Mara how Ben inherited many of Anakin Solo's traits including a headstrong defiance of others. When Ben was eight years old, during the buildup to the Swarm War, he befriended a Killik named Gorog, thinking of the creature as his friend. Ben was unaware, however, that by befriending Gorog, he had put his mother in grave danger. Secretly, Gorog attempted to brainwash the child to join the Dark Nest, but the plot was uncovered by Mara, who was forced to kill the Killik. Despite this, Ben was still able to sense the Gorog nest's presence and thoughts.
A year later, his cousin Jacen Solo took on Ben as an informal apprentice. Ben felt comfortable around Jacen, and slowly began to open himself up to the Force with Jacen's guidance. Luke and Mara saw it as their only way to get Ben to open up to the Force. Mara and Luke reluctantly let their son train with Jacen, but Mara still had doubts about Jacen and didn't trust him. During the time Ben spent with Jacen, his raw Force power sometimes boiled to the surface. The time and distance away from Gorog, however, had done nothing to weaken his connection to the Dark Nest and only narrowly avoided becoming a full Joiner. During the war he accompanied Jacen in his Starskiff to Hapes where he served as a co-pilot.
When they arrived in Hapes, Queen Mother Tenel Ka presented her child to Ben, and he was able to figure out that the Gorog were planning to kill the baby of Jacen and Tenel Ka. Although he attempted to persuade them not to, his nest-mates managed to convince him to help them, which caused Ben to instinctively apply an untrained powerful Force Push against Tenel Ka, due to his overwhelming connection to the Gorog. However, this connection allowed them to avoid the bugs and escape only to be confronted by Tenel Ka's grandmother, Ta'a Chume, who hired agents of the Dark Nest to kill Allana. He then witnessed Jacen use the Force to give her a brain hemorrhage that sent her into a coma. Jacen decided that he could not trust Ben with the knowledge he had, and erased Ben's memory of the visit.
When Luke was told by Lowbacca and Tesar Sebatyne that Jacen had tampered with Ben's memory, Luke confronted his nephew. Jacen responded with a cover-up story, explaining that when a group of Ewoks on Endor had been captured and killed by a Gorax, Ben had felt their deaths in the Force—and thus erased the traumatic memory from Ben in order to prevent him from retreating further from the Force. Although Luke was able to sense that Jacen was hiding something, he accepted the story. Mara, however, became suspicious of Jacen and became disturbed by his behavior. After the incident, Ben kept his father company when he was looking for answers about the death of his grandmother in the memory banks of R2-D2. He was presumably present with his parents and Jacen when Artoo showed them holograms of Anakin, Padmé, and Obi-Wan Kenobi.
Becoming a Jedi
Prior to the outbreak of the Swarm War, Ben was present at the Conclave on Ossus along with the rest of the New Jedi Order. His father had summoned all the Jedi throughout the galaxy using the Force as he was concerned for the New Jedi Order and its future, but using the Force to call the Jedi made him temporarily weak. Luke and Mara then told Nanna to bring Ben as Luke felt that his son should be there. It was then when his father declared himself the Grand Master of the Jedi Order.
At the age of nine, Ben attended the Praxeum on Ossus where he learned how to handle a lightsaber. Closely guided by his mentor and childhood hero, Jacen, Ben began to gain confidence in his use of the Force. He briefly studied under his father and Master Cilghal, who taught him basic healing techniques.

Second Galactic Civil War: Mission to Adumar and aftermath
"I'm sure he'll grow up into a fine Jedi Knight… years and years from now."
―Admiral Niathal
After several years of training under Jacen, Ben became more open to other people and the Force. He viewed Jacen as a father figure and attempted to mirror some of Jacen's traits. In 40 ABY, a thirteen-year-old Ben and his master, Jedi Knight Jacen Solo, were sent on a mission to uncover an illegal missile factory on the planet Adumar. By this time, Ben displayed a greater maturity and willingness to use the Force. He and Jacen were there to investigate whether or not Adumari missile-manufacturer Dammant Killers were developing concussion missiles for planets close to rebellion, as Galactic Alliance regulations chafed against planetary interests. When they got to their destination, Ben and Jacen were given a tour of the facility by an Adumari tour guide named Testan ke Harran, who commented on Ben's lightsaber. The two Jedi were to pose as Jedi investigators for the Galactic Alliance and use the Force to detect any uneasiness from the workers or foremen at the plant. The mission ended in a violent ambush when the two discovered a secret room containing missiles. Despite being confronted by twenty Adumari guards, Ben managed to capture information for the Alliance while Jacen took care of the guards with his lightsaber.
The incident sparked political unrest that threatened to ignite into total rebellion that could have shattered the young Galactic Alliance. In a desperate attempt to avoid such a fate, the Alliance readied a preemptive display of military might in a bid to bring the rogue worlds to heel. In a display of poor decision making, Corellia, the Solo home planet, was chosen as target of this exercise. To prevent Corellia from using its main planetary repulsor, Centerpoint Station, Luke sent Jacen and Ben to disable it, though both Luke and Jacen had their doubts about Ben participating in the mission—for Thrackan Sal-Solo had somehow been able to use Anakin's biometrics to activate the repulsor. Before they were able to start their mission, the Alliance Intelligence and Ben's father, Jedi Master Luke Skywalker convinced scientist Toval Seyah to assist him and Jacen in their mission to destroy or disable Centerpoint Station. Seyah put the Jedi pair through several simulated scenarios and provided the two with a datachip that he thought could cause the ancient station to tear itself apart.
After the simulations, the pair went on their mission to the Centerpoint Station. While Jacen created a diversion by destroying many of the CorSec guards, Ben, separated from his Master, went inside the control room only to find a four meter tall droid that believed itself to be Anakin Solo. Thanks to Ben, Thrackan Sal-Solo's plans to use the Centerpoint Station were foiled. This action was not only due to Ben's successful persuasion, but because the droid still contained Anakin's morals. Ben, for his part, kept his meeting with the droid a secret from everyone, except his father, who later advised him not to tell his aunt and uncle.
During the negotiations at Toryaz Station, Ben, the Jedi, and the politicians were attacked, causing him to feel that the assassination attempt was his fault due to his success of destroying Centerpoint Station. After the attack Ben and his Master, Jacen, went to Lorrd to investigate the mysterious tassels and the events at Toryaz Station. According to the locals, Force ghosts took the image of someone they loved and appeared before them, making them insane like the local Ordith Huarr. There Ben saved many people by warning them to run away from a Y-wing about to be blown up by the Huarr. He found the shuttle the Jedi were looking for. Ben met Nelani Dinn, a Jedi Knight assigned to Lorrd at the time, and developed a crush on her.
Along with Jacen and Nelani Dinn, Ben followed a woman named Brisha Syo to an asteroid lair of Darth Vectivus. Later, Syo revealed that she was none other than Lumiya, a Sith who had once known Ben's grandfather and father. While Brisha attempted to subvert Jacen to the dark side, Nelani and Ben battled the Force Phantoms conjured by Lumiya to keep them at bay. Ben had to battle a Force Phantom of his mother (who was actually in her apartment with Luke at that same exact moment battling Force Phantom of Ben and Jacen). He won, but at the last moment decided not to kill the phantom because it had his mother's face. After Nelani's confrontation with Jacen and Lumiya, Ben was then told that Nelani Dinn and Brisha Syo had been killed by a Sith Lord. Jacen left the asteroid to search for an apprentice of his own, as Ben had been deemed too steeped in Jedi ways. When they left Jacen again tampered with Ben's memories and removed the memories of Lumiya from him.
During Jacen's fall to the dark side, the Second Galactic Civil War was well under way, creating a rift between the Solos and Skywalkers as they took opposing sides. Due to attacks on Coruscant by Corellian dissidents, Ben's mother was given the opportunity to lead an anti-terrorist organization, which she refused. After she refused, the job was given to Ben's Master, Jacen, who gladly accepted, creating the Galactic Alliance Guard with Ben at his side, something his father and many other Jedi Masters were not pleased by.
As Jacen fell further to the dark side, Ben was shocked as Jacen tortured and killed the bounty hunter Ailyn Habuur during an interrogation. Jacen didn't find the information he was looking for, but Ben successfully deduced that the bounty hunter had been tracking the Millennium Falcon. During the chaos Ben befriended Barit Saiy, a Corellian living on Coruscant. In order to understand Corellia's reason for attacking Coruscant, Ben decided to investigate on his own. Shortly afterwards Ben stumbled onto a GAG raid where he saved a Galactic Alliance officer from being killed.
After visiting several Corellian parts of Coruscant, he participated in a Galactic Alliance raid that resulted in him killing two people, one that was unarmed protecting a member of the GAG. Sometime after this he realized that the Corellian he had befriended, Barit, might be up to no good, and informed Jacen to his whereabouts, resulting in Barit's arrest. During this period, Ben was constantly trying to piece together how Nelani and Brisha had died, believing that what Jacen had told him made sense and yet no sense at the same time. He also failed to understand the true nature of the war and believed that everyone was fighting themselves, a belief once held by his grandmother, Padmé Amidala. Shortly afterwards, he revealed to his parents a murder he committed during the GAG raid. Ben began to wonder about Jacen and even considered that he didn't want to be like him any more. Despite this, Ben continued to train under Jacen, believing that he could teach him techniques that he desperately wanted to learn. Eventually, he came to believe that Jacen couldn't be mistaken, and continued to participate in the raids, knowing fully well that the captured suspects would be interned, and tortured during interrogation.
Shortly after the disastrous incident, Luke decided to test his son in order to see if he was corrupted by Jacen's teachings. The test involved a sparring match in which Ben was supposed to make his father activate his lightsaber. The young boy showed Luke that he knew how to fight and survive in battle but lacked good sparring ability. He couldn't break through his father's defenses. After disarming Luke, Ben picked up the lightsaber and tried to ignite it, to no avail. His father's saber didn't even have a power cell inside. Upset, Ben asked his father if he could have regular duels with him, which Luke happily agreed to. Jacen began teaching Ben lightsaber combat and even started to influence Ben to use emotions associated with the dark side without Luke's knowledge. Shortly afterwards, Ben was sent to rescue Jaina and Zekk after their StealthX's had been destroyed by Miy'tils owned by Ducha Galney. Once rescued, Jaina and Zekk began to talk with Ben and Ben unknowingly gave away a few secrets of his training. Jacen also began to teach him how to lie; not even Jacen himself knew when Ben was lying to him in their practices. During Jacen's hunt for Han and Leia, Ben attempted to arrest Han aboard the Millennium Falcon while it was being shot at by the Anakin Solo under Jacen's orders. During the incident, Ben accidentally wounded Zekk with his lightsaber.
Following the battle, Luke informed Ben and Jacen that he was returning Ben to the New Jedi Temple for training, and removing him from Jacen's tutelage. Though Luke claimed it was due to his suspicion of Lumiya trying to get at Ben, he secretly believed that Jacen was falling to the dark side, and thus decided it was better for Ben to train at the Temple.
Ben was later sent a message through Seha Dorvald by Lumiya (posing as Jacen) to recover a Sith artifact, the Amulet of Kalara. After leaving the Jedi Temple and Coruscant against the wishes of his parents, Ben started his search on the Almanian moon of Drewwa. There, he discovered that the amulet seemed to have been stolen by a man called Faskus. During his mission, Ben came across an R2 unit named Shaker, who tagged along.
Surviving by his wits, Ben tracked Faskus to an encampment on Ziost and retrieved the amulet. Faskus was dying of injuries that Ben's attack worsened but that he initially received while saving his young daughter, Kiara, from their transport as it was strafed by a TIE fighter. Before dying, Faskus requested that Ben take care of Kiara, and he explained that a Bothan named Byalfin Dyur had been the one to steal the amulet and had ordered Faskus to take it to a cave on Ziost. Ben abandoned the little girl at first, but then reconsidered and decided to take her with him as he searched for a way to leave Ziost. Along the way, Ben, Kiara, and Shaker battled predators that resided on the planet and were observed and strafed by several TIE fighters under Dyur's command. Ben struggled with the dark influence of voices that haunted his dreams and even urged him to kill and eat Kiara when they ran out of food. However, Ben resisted these voices and realized that Kiara seemed able to sense the dark side within him. Ben also realized that, just as he had initially prioritized his mission over Kiara's life, it was possible that Jacen might also sometimes be wrong in his priorities.
After following the guidance of the voices, Ben and his companions discovered a living ship, actually a Sith Meditation Sphere. Ben used what he had learned from the voices to activate and fly the ship off Ziost and into a dogfight with Dyur's freighter and its remaining TIE fighter. Using his anger to fire the ship's weaponry, Ben destroyed the TIE fighter and damaged the freighter, presumably killing Dyur too.
Disillusionment
Ben returned Kiara and Shaker to Drewwa and headed to the ship Anakin Solo, where he handed the amulet over to Jacen before returning to Coruscant. The unpleasant ordeal on Ziost had negatively affected Ben's idolism toward Jacen.
Nevertheless, on the orders of Jacen, Ben resumed his role in the Guard and participated in a mission to Vulpter to assassinate the Five Worlds Prime Minister and Confederation leader Dur Gejjen. Ben killed Gejjen with a high-powered sniper rifle and completed his mission; though at the cost of his friend and fellow GAG member, Jori Lekauf. The mission caused Ben much grief with him confiding in his mother who he had developed a much stronger connection with over the past weeks, especially due to her relating with his current situation, as she was similar during her days with the Empire.
When Ben discovered Jacen's affiliation to Lumiya, the mind rubbings and what became of Nelani shortly thereafter, he lost all the admiration he had for his cousin and mentor. He later told his mother about Jacen's partnership with Lumiya, and taught her how to disappear in the Force, an ability Ben learned from Jacen.
But there were greater losses to come, as Jacen Solo struck down Ben's mother, Mara Jade, on Kavan and took the name Darth Caedus. Feeling his mother's death in the Force, Ben sped to Kavan and, through the Force, went directly to her body. He stayed there with her, part of him wishing that she was only asleep, and the other noting every detail of the place of her death. Jacen later found Ben there with Mara's body, and promised Ben that they would find Mara's killer and make him pay. Ben briefly wondered how Jacen had found him, as that he was hiding in the Force. Ben felt that he didn't want to be with Jacen anymore, and that he now wanted to be with his father. Meanwhile, believing Mara's killer to be Lumiya, Ben's father tracked her to Terephon where he decapitated her. Later, on a Jedi shuttle en route to Coruscant, Ben informed Luke that Lumiya wasn't Mara's killer after all, as he was with her at the time of Mara's death. This pushed Luke over the edge, having killed a woman in vengeance for a crime she didn't commit. Ben told his father that he had done a service to the galaxy anyway, and to save his tears for Mara.
It was revealed that Jacen still wanted Ben to be his Sith apprentice. Darth Caedus felt that, once Ben learned that he was responsible for the boy's mother's death, then his adoration for his master would be gone and replaced by a vile, unshakable hatred. Caedus believed that this hatred would give Ben the strength to be a successful Sith Apprentice and one day, become a great Dark Lord.
Vengeance
"With all due respect, sir, you can shove that order down the nearest black hole. You're the one who turned me into a killer."
―Ben Skywalker, to Darth Caedus
Ben attends his mother's funeral
Ben attended the funeral of Mara Jade Skywalker with his father and the rest of the Jedi Masters, and voiced his objections to allowing Jacen Solo to bully the Jedi Order. Later, he confronted Jacen about Mara's killing directly, and accused Jacen of the murder until Caedus showed Ben a holovid which appeared to implicate Cal Omas as Mara's killer, though Jacen ordered Ben not to attack Omas. To convince Jacen that he believed this story, and to provide a cover for his return to Jacen's side, Ben went to assassinate Omas (though he planned to only smuggle Omas to safety so Jacen would think he had killed him), who was still under house arrest. However, Ben's plan did not go entirely as he had planned: Omas impaled himself on Ben's lightsaber in order to completely convince Jacen that Ben had killed him, and Ben was seen fleeing the scene.
Regardless, Ben returned to the GAG and to Jacen, where he continued to act as though he believed Omas was responsible for Mara's death, and took several apparently extreme measures to consolidate Jacen's trust, advocating the killing of the adults on Ossus, volunteering for that task, and suggesting that the Anakin Solo bombard Kashyyyk's cities. Ben only gave up this cover when the Jedi Knight Lowbacca launched a shadow bomb at the Anakin Solo, at which point Ben attacked a distracted Jacen, killing Commander Twizzl but giving Jacen only a shallow wound. In response, Caedus attacked Ben with Force lightning and placed his cousin in the Embrace of Pain, hoping to turn Ben as he himself had been turned. Caedus left briefly to engage his sister and uncle in a dogfight, during which Luke concealed himself in the Force which made it seem as if he had been killed by friendly fire. He then returned to the business of torturing Ben. Caedus used his powers to subdue Ben's Force powers, and told him his father was dead. When he allowed Ben to sense with the Force briefly, Ben sensed his father on board, and he realized Luke was only allowing him to sense him.
Caedus's attempts to turn Ben were interrupted when Luke Skywalker burst into the room, dueled and severely injured Caedus, and gave Ben the chance to escape from the Embrace. Once free, however, Ben attacked Jacen, stabbing him through the back with a vibroblade with such hate and anger that his father did not kill Jacen or allow Ben to kill him. By Luke's estimation, killing Jacen at that moment would doom Ben to the dark side, and so father and son left the Anakin Solo to the attacks of the Confederation and the Hapan Home Flee.
Against Jacen
Ben was later officially taken as his father's apprentice. He accompanied his father to Endor, where the Jedi Order were setting up their base until Jacen was out of power. During a training exercise with Luke, he noticed his father was in a near-suicidal state due to everything that had recently occurred, and was able to talk his father out of it. Luke, impressed by both this and that Ben had let go of his hatred, told Ben that he was ready to build his own lightsaber.
After hearing Jacen had kidnapped Allana to blackmail Tenel Ka into supporting him again, Ben accompanied his father on the mission to the Anakin Solo. During this attempt, Jacen sensed that there was no hatred towards him in Ben anymore, and disappointedly realized that he would never be able to turn him to the dark side. The mission ended with Allana's successful rescue.
He helped Luke and Master Saba Sebatyne distract Jacen while Allana was rescued. He later revealed to Leia and Jaina that he did not believe Alema killed his mother. He still believed Jacen was the real killer and believed him a Sith. Ben was somewhat concerned about having to be around Jacen if he were to be redeemed. After that, Ben sought out Captain Lon Shevu to help investigate his mother's murder. While searching on Kavan, Ben saw a vision of his mother pulling strands of her hair out. Ben then went to look at the interior of Jacen's Stealth-X where he found a strand of his mother's hair. Captain Shevu then went on to record Jacen Solo confessing he had killed Mara and admitting he was a Sith Lord named Darth Caedus. Ben brought all the evidence to his family, finally proving that Jacen had indeed killed his mother. Luke, after seeing the evidence that Ben had brought him, then became determined to have Caedus removed as a threat.
The end of the War
At some point Ben, along with Lon Shevu, was captured by a group of GAG soldiers, led by Tahiri Veila, Caedus's apprentice, while he was on Coruscant. Tahiri attempted to get the location of the Jedi's base out of Ben. When seducing and then torturing Ben didn't work, she tortured Shevu, and accidentally killed him, much to her own horror. Ben escaped captivity, and managed to get off Coruscant. He later teamed up with Tenel Ka's cousins, Trista Zel and Taryn Zel who helped him reunite with the Jedi. However, their escape was marred by the capture of Prince Isolder by Tahiri Veila.
Ben was reunited with his family at the secret Jedi base on Shedu Maad. He was a little embarrassed by his cousin Jaina's scolding him like a child for running away from his backup on Coruscant, but soon all realized Ben was far more grown-up than they often gave him credit for. He was also with his family and Tenel Ka as they discussed the battle to come against Jacen. It was at this point Ben first expressed his belief that Tahiri perhaps had not fully embraced the dark side and could be redeemed. He believed this because of her shock and obvious regret at having tortured Shevu to death as well as her utilizing all means of persuasion before resorting to torturing Shevu, particularly the attempted seduction of a 14 year old boy half her age. Ben did not share with his family that Tahiri had tried to seduce him, believing that that detail remained better unknown.
Later, as Darth Caedus and his sister Jaina dueled on the Anakin Solo, Ben briefly dueled with Tahiri Veila on the surface of Shedu Maad. She and her team had been allowed to land by treacherous Hapan officials, bringing with them a bomb that would destroy the asteroid. As they fought, the two fell down a sinkhole into an underground lake. Physically subdued for the moment, Ben informed Tahiri that he could feel the conflict within her and that she wasn't a true Sith, assuring her that the Jedi could forgive her over time. He offered to let her go and report her dead, but instead Tahiri surrendered, not wanting to lie anymore. Ben brought her into Jedi custody, and redeemed her while Caedus died at his sister's hands. By this time, according to his father, Ben was a Jedi Knight.

The Skywalker Legacy part 1: Anikan Skywalker
But since that changed, the Universe has trembled in terror of its eventual would-be destroyer.
Anakin's world was shaken up when the Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn and his "Padawan," or apprentice, Obi-Wan Kenobi, came to Tatooine. Master Jinn immediately recognized something massive in Anakin. Deeply connected to the Force, he had the potential to become the strongest Jedi Knight ever. After winning a Pod Race largely due to his Force skills, Anakin left with Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, and Queen Padme' Naberrie Amidala of Naboo. Meanwhile, the evil Emporer had sent his apprentice, Darth Maul after the two Jedi Knights. They went to Corouscant, narrowly escaping Maul at each turn. Unfortunately, he caught up with them. Maul battled Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan. Although he killed Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan killed him, and took the boy as his apprentice. Although Obi-Wan trained him well, Anakin had a natural violence within him. He was rash and unthinking--and he feared losing the ones he loved very much. However, he proved to be a great Jedi Knight, and speculation arose that he might be The Chosen One--the one who would destroy the Sith Peerage once and for all. He loved his mother, Shmi Skywalker, and wanted her, so he traveled to Tatooine to see her. But when he got there, he realized that Tusken Raiders, or "sandpeople," had murdered her. Anakin slaughtered an entire tribe of Tuskens, even the women and children of the tribe, in a blind rage. He was turning to the Dark Side. He also started a romance with Padme Amidala, former queen of Naboo--one of whose Senators, Palpatine, now Supreme Chancellor of the Republic, would eventually corrupt it into the Galactic Empire.
He married Padme soon after, and she got pregnant. However, Anakin feared losing her as he had lost his mother. "Fear leads to anger; anger to hate; hate to suffering," said Yoda who recognized that the boy might be on the path to the Dark Side. He started to distrust those around him, and he loathed the Jedi Order when he felt they wronged him. He also was taken in by Palpatine, who was secretly a Sith Lord. Palpatine gained Anakin's trust and loyalty, only to have Anakin learn that he was the Sith Lord Darth Sidious. Palpatine told him, however, that with Sith powers, he could become immortal and stop other people from dying. Mace Windu defeated the Emperor--but Anakin had made his decision and hastily severed Windu's sword arm. After Palpatine killed the Jedi Master, he assured Anakin that he was fulfilling his destiny. Anakin then pledged loyalty to the Sith and became Emperor's new apprentice: Darth Vader. Darth Vader discovered that Obi-Wan was traveling to Mustafar, and that that was where Padme Amidala was. He thought that Obi-Wan was trying to turn his wife against him--and that Padme was plotting with Obi-Wan against him. Vader went berserk. He nearly killed Padme with a Force-choke and attacked Obi-Wan. They fought a huge battle on the lava planet, with both nearly striking death blows. In the end, Obi-Wan got the winning position, but Vader foolishly attacked anyway--and Obi-Wan severed his legs and good arm off. Vader then caught fire, and he nearly burned to death. Kenobi left sadly, for his friend and apprentice had turned to evil. Vader was saved by the Emperor-who healed him and put him in a black suit of armor with robotic limbs and covered with flowing black robes and a huge black cloak. He became the Emperor's apprentice and second-in-command of the Empire.
Almost twenty years passed from there. In the end of the final conflict him and his son he had to choose between letting his son die or his loyalties to his master. He did bring balance to ther force.
